RSS Feed Signature

Add branding, attribution, or calls to action around feed items so your RSS output keeps a clear source identity.

Overview

RSS Feed Signature lets you add custom text before and after each RSS feed item. It is useful when you want feed content to keep a clear source identity even after it leaves your site.

Admin path: Airygen SEO -> Settings -> RSS Feed Signature

The module can be used for attribution, brand messaging, short calls to action, or links that point readers back to the original site.

Settings

The screen contains one enable toggle and two content fields.

  • Enable RSS signature turns signature output on or off.
  • Before content signature is inserted before each feed item.
  • After content signature is inserted after each feed item.
  • Basic HTML such as links, strong text, and line breaks is allowed in both signature fields.

How to Use

  1. Open Airygen SEO -> Settings -> RSS Feed Signature.
  2. Turn on Enable RSS signature.
  3. Enter the text or HTML you want to show in Before content signature.
  4. Enter the text or HTML you want to show in After content signature.
  5. Save the settings and open your feed URL in a browser or feed reader to review the result.
  6. Shorten or refine the wording if the message feels too long or distracting in the feed.

Check these items after saving:

  • The signature appears in actual feed items, not only in the settings screen.
  • The message is readable in both content and excerpt views.
  • Any links or basic formatting still work correctly in the feed.

SEO Benefits

This module does not directly change rankings, but it helps protect source attribution when feed content is republished. It can also reinforce your brand and encourage readers to return to the original site.

User Cases

Publishers concerned about feed republishing

Before: Articles are copied from RSS feeds, but there is no clear attribution back to the original site.

After: RSS Feed Signature adds a branded source message and link around each feed item, which makes the original publisher more visible.

Blogs using feed readers as a traffic source

Before: Feed subscribers read excerpts or full posts without a clear reminder to visit the main site.

After: The feed signature adds a short CTA or source link that gives readers a simple path back to the original article.

FAQ

Does this change the normal page content on my site?

No. It affects RSS feed content and excerpts, not the regular frontend page view.

Can I use HTML in the signature fields?

Yes. The UI allows basic HTML such as links, strong text, and line breaks.

Why do I not see the signature on the live page?

The output is for RSS feeds, so you need to check your feed URL or a feed reader instead of a normal page.
